The seven of them continued down the cave and they soon noticed that it became more spacious the deeper they went. They soon came across the throne chamber like room with the bookshelves carved out into the wall.
"This place is crude, but habitable I guess. So, where is this creature you told us about?" Sheila asked as she observed the chamber with curiosity, she could feel a strange energy as well as a spatial disturbance somewhere, but no matter how much she tried, she couldn't pinpoint where.
'How strange?' She thought and just when Lucifer was about to call on Mephistopheles, he appeared.
"Oh radiant one, you have graced me with your presence once more." Mephistopheles said with a small bow as he suddenly appeared behind them. Gardena and Eva jumped into the air in surprise while the four sacred angels almost attacked him, due to their surprise.
'How the fuck does he keep doing that?' Lucifer thought
'Why didn't I sense him appearing?' Sheila frowned at the strange occurence. Normally, she would be able to sense even the slightest shift in space, but when Mesphistopheles appeared, she sensed nothing, which made her suspicious.
"I'm sorry for startling you, radiant ones." Mephistopheles said and gave them a subservient bow.
"Don't be foolish, I already sensed your approach." Lucifer said in a neutral tone, and Sheila looked at him weirdly
"Either way, we want you to tell us about this realm of yours and if possible, we want to know where you entered the human realm from." Lucifer said
"As you wish Oh radiant ones, as I said before, my realm is one filled of chaos, destruction and suffering where the only thing that matters is strength, a lot different from this one. Based on what I have observed my Lord, we also seem to use a different type of energy than a creature of light such as you, ours is dark and chaotic while yours is bright, orderly and more powerful." Mephistopheles said and Sheila's eyes twitched and Luciel seemed skeptical, but the others seemed completely absorbed in what he was saying.....or in Belphegor's case, simply couldn't care less.
"I see that you have a keen eye creature, now tell me, where did you appear in this realm from yours?" Lucifer asked
"Oh radiant one, I believe that I appeared in a forest near the human kingdom of Araelia." Mephistopheles said
"Good, I guess we should go their next. Hopefully the portal is their, if not, Sheila can track the spatial residues and reopen one." Lucifer said
"I thought the Holy Elders said no one should go into this other realm." Sheila said with a frown
"Oh, right." Lucifer said dejectedly
"Oh radiant one, if I may, I believe you have human followers, might I suggest you send a group of them into the portal. I'm sure a human granted power by one as powerful as you would be able to survive a pitiful realm such as mine." Mephistopheles said
"That's a great idea, I could send Asmodious and a few of her followers inside and they could send back information." Lucifer said with sparkling eyes, but no one noticed the sinister grin on Mephistopheles' face.
"Hold on, we would have to find the portal first before doing anything else." Sheila said, she too was interested in what was in the other realm.
"Ok then, let's go." Lucifer said and opened a portal to Araelia.
"You first creature." Lucifer said and Mephistopheles complied and walked towards the portal, but as soon as his skin came in contact with the portal, his skin burned and black smoke rose off his hand.
"What happened?" Lucifer asked
"My liege, I think a lowly creature like me is not allowed to go through a portal made by a powerful person such as yourself. I will have to fly to the portal myself oh radiant one." Mephistopheles said and the others looked at each other before they all stepped through the portal and disappeared. As soon as they were all gone, Mephistopheles' body disappeared and in it's place, the real Mephistopheles appeared.
"That went well, I should probably turn down the ass kissing though, that female angel is getting suspicious. They won't expect me for an hour or so, more than enough time to visit a friend, hahahaha." Mephistopheles laughed as he opened a dark red swirling portal, stepped inside and disappeared
