Miriam and one of the demon guard, accompanied me to the royal dining hall, when the huge bronze doors opened, the sight that welcomed me was a rectangular table filled with food and fruits, my jaws dropped.
Ahead of the table was Hades, eating gracefully like the King that he was. "Welcome My lady, to the royal dining hall, please sit," He gestured and the guard who accompanied me pulled out a chair for me to sit.
"Wow, this place is...I'm speechless," I said, shamelessly gaping at the dining hall. It was adorned with intricate walls and lined with golden scones, casting a warm glow over the long space. The chairs are cushioned with rich velvet and embroided with the royal crest table, shimmering with crystals and candles.
The food looked and smelled delicious that she unconsciously licked her lips. It's been a while since she's had good food, and the food looks exactly like ours back home, that's a relief, at least she wasn't eating beasts guts.
"I asked your maid for your favorite food and had the servants prepare them," Hades declared, his elbows resting on the table and his head resting on his hands.
U could feel his intent gaze on me but I was focused on the delicious delicacy placed Infront of me.
I instantly picked up my spoon and was about to dive in when I remembered that the King was supposed to have the first bite. I glanced over at him and then I placedy spoon back on the table, waiting for him to either take the first bite or give me permission.
I impatiently waited, while stomping my feet on the ground continuously, I thought I heard him snicker and then he picked up his spoon and took the first bite, "Finally," I mumbled, grabbing a hold of my spoon and digging in.
I closed my eyes, savoring the taste of the dumplings I just ate, it melted in my mouth, soothing my burning tongue. "it's so good," I complimented and without wasting another second, I took another bite.
"Today, you will be meeting some... friends of mine..."
"...Pfft,"
"Is something wrong?" He asked.
"Forgive me, Your Majesty, I just didn't dim you as someone who have...Friends," I explained, another chuckle escaping my lips.
"I could say the same," He replied and I stopped giggling, my face turning serious.
"Excuse me?"
"I heard you never left your Castle and didn't tag along on royal tours with your family, so I assume you don't have friends too, except your maid of course," He replied, taking a bite out of his food, even the way he used his cutleries was perfect.
"Are you mocking me...Your Majesty?" I asked with creased brows.
"I'm simply stating the truth," He replied, his gaze focused on his food and mine on him. I scoffed, suddenly loosing my appetite.
"You'd be surprised if you knew the amount of friends I had," I replied.
He wiped his lips with the napkin and then stood up, "It's time," He said, walking towards me like the sexy king that he was.
"Huh?" I asked, trying to shove some more food in my mouth.
"Wa--wait, I'm not full, I just took one bite," I complained as he grabbed me by my hand, pulling me along until we were out of the royal dining hall.
" Big Bully," I whispered under my breath as we walked side by side, out of the castle building.
"You seem to forget demons have heightened senses," He said, causing me to jolt. I cleared my throat as we got to the garden where his guests were waiting.
My jaws dropped at the sight of the two handsome men and one incredibly beautiful woman, I was awestrucked as we approached them.
"Your Majesty," They bowed with respect and Hades responded with a bow to, but I was too awestrucked to move a muscle. I once again questioned the underworld, now I am sure I was in paradise in disguise.
"My lady, are you okay?" The girl with the raven-black long hair asked. She was dressed in a white lengthy dress, it was plain but it looked stunning on her, her hair was in waves, resting on her shoulders and her eyes were forest green, she had a cute facial feature, she also looked wise.
"My lady?" She called again and I jolted back to my senses.
"H--huh?"
"Are you okay, you seemed like you were in a trance?" The girl asked again and I nodded.
"I'm fine th--thanks," I stuttered.
"My Queen, these are the rulers of the other region, Alissa of rune coven, the leader of the witches," Hades Introduced, the girl in the white dress and she bowed with a smile, she even had a killer smile.
"King Ares of Shadowhaven Kingdom, ruler of the vampire Clan," He introduced the red-haired man, he was also beautiful, With alluring grey eyes, strong jawlines and pale skin, and he was dressed as those princes you see in the television.
"And, King Lycan of Moon vale, ruler of the werewolves pack," Hades Introduced the black muscular guy with beautiful amber eyes that was in contrast to his ebony colour.
He had a fur coat, revealing his perfectly toned body and abs l, there was also a horizontal scar from his chest down to his abdomen as if he was cut open. But it was badass. His had black locs for hair, shoulder length and he was what girls would consider cute.
"Ahh, pleased to meet you Queen Hazel, we've heard a lot about you," King Ares walked up to me and took my hand in his, planting a soft kiss on the back of my hand. A blush crept to my face, I lived long enough as party girl Ariana to know that Ares was a flirt, and an undeniably handsome one at that.
If I wasn't already married to Hades, I'd marry them all, but fuck marriage, this was the underworld and has anyone ever been faithful in marriage before? Well, although my hubby Hades was undeniably the sexiest of them all, I might as well manage him.
I turned my gaze to King Lycan and he just stood there, staring at me intently, I creased brows, wondering why he was gazing at me so...longingly.
"Lycan?" Hades called and he jolted, turning his attention to Hades.
"Easy with the eyes, buddy," King Ares said patting Lycan on his shoulder and Alissa chuckled.
"Forgive me, My lady, I was...awestruck by your beauty," King Lycan said with a smile and then bowed slightly. He was indeed cute.
"Right, A human isn't supposed to be this pretty, I mean she tops all the females in my Kingdom," King Ares winked at me and I blushed again.
I heard Hades scoff behind me and when I turned to him he was maintaining his emotionless facade.
"She is beautiful indeed," Alissa replied.
'Is she kidding, has she looked at herself in the mirror?'
"Thank you all and nice to meet your acquaintance," I replied and bowed slightly, acting like the perfect queen that i was.
"Ah, it seems like I would have to get a bride from the humans region too, if only they'd be as gorgeous as you, Your Majesty," Ares said again and I blushed once more, if he keeps this up my brain might explode.
But the fact that he was a vampire, a bloodsucking child of the night still played at the back of my head.
"Aren't you only supposed to come out in the night?" I found myself asking.
"Ahh, that's a childish story used to scare human children to sleep, Love. Vampires can come out anytime they want, we're just a little bit weaker during the day that's why we prefer the evening," Ares replied.
"She is married Ares, quit the flirtatious words," Alissa said rolling her eyes.
"I know, but we all know Hades wouldn't mind, the guy's a fucking statue," Ares replied with a burst of laughter. He wasn't wrong, Hades was an expressionless freak with a stone cold heart.
I glanced at him and gave him a disapproving look, rolling my eyes. He was so handsome but can be a major pain in just the few hours I've known him.
I glanced at Lycan and he was staring straight at me, unwaveringly.
"I'm guessing you both haven't..." Alissa gestured, using her hand to make a sex sign. Naughty Alissa.
Hades and I glanced at each other and we both cleared our throats, looking away.
"You see, they obviously haven't," Ares tsked.
"We should head to the courtyard, it's been a long time since we fought together," Hades said and with that remark one could expect a smile, but with Hades, it was as stoic as ever.
"Sounds good, what do you think Ly?" Ares asked Lycan who was still for some add reason staring at me. It was getting kinda creepy. Does he perhaps see me like some delicious food, waiting to be devoured?
