At four o'clock, Si Yuchen's car appeared on time across the street from Gu Xiaonuan's school.
Gu Xiaonuan always refused to let Si Yuchen drive up to the school entrance; his large SUV was too showy, and Gu Xiaonuan worried that no sooner had she got into Si Yuchen's car, than rumors would start flying around the school.

Shu Yu happened to come pick up Li Lu first, so Li Lu left ahead of time.
Gu Xiaonuan strolled leisurely to the side of the SUV. She didn't get in but knocked on Si Yuchen's car window instead.
