"Beep....beep....beep....." the alarm continued ringing throughout the entire room.

On the bed laid a young boy in a deep slumber.

"Hhwaahhhhmmm" Hethernika yawned as he rubbed his sore tired eyes.

Opening his light blue eyes that resembled the ocean itself,he then again wraped himself with his blanket again and tried going back to sleep.

'I wonder what time is it?!' He thought to himself.He then decided to look at the time.

"7:06Am".

"!!!"

"Shoot!,i'm late!!" He panicked and hurriedly jolted out of bed,heading straight to the bathroom.

After 10mins he came out.

A towel tied around his waist,holding another one with his other hand drying himself up.

Hethernika was a normal boy with normal sized silver hair shaved alittle on the sides of his head that almost reaches down-wards to his shoulders,a normal physic,with blue ocean-coloured eyes.

"I can still make it!" He said to himself with a determined look on his face.

"Hether!!!" A voice called for him from outside his bedroom.

"I'm coming!".

"Okay!" A female voice replied to him.It was none other than Emilia Scarlet,a woman asigned to take care of him by his father after his mother died in an accident.

Trying to find ways to help his son adjust he took him to his mother's older sister.

As he came down from upstairs he was greeted with an angry look on Emilia's face.

"You are late..." She said,with a dissatisfied expression filled with annoyance.

"Ha,ha..sorry" He said while weirdly laughing trying to lighten up the mood.

"Ok,no worries we still have some time left,why don't we have some breakfast first?" Emilia insisted.

"Sure".He agreed.

While taking breakfast they started discussing about...today.

Today he turned 12 years old and was supposed to participate in the Grand Ranking test

When someone awakens he/she has got to wait for 2 more years to get accepted into an academy.

Depending on his/her talent-rank the person might have to train and learn how to use their mana and how to also use their innate skills

Innate skills are abilities present in a person or animal when they are born. But not soo many have an innate skill,only those who are lucky enough to have a High Ranked-Talent and strong Bloodline can get an innate skill,while those without innate skills have to learn different ones provided to them in skill books.

Some that got a normal or lower Talent-Rank wait in those 2 years to be taugh by teachers of a certain academy

In this world a High Rank-Talent matters most,those with lower ones are abused,bullied,discriminated,and considered as trash.

Only few from Noble Families aren't too corrupt and evil as the rest of them.

As they finished breakfast,they went out.

Hethernika wore a long-sleeved grey shirt and black pants,while Emilia wore a beautiful black dress with her brown hair and brown-coloured eyes.

Going through the city looking at the beautiful scenery many merchantscould be seen selling almost every kind of artifacts,weapons,and armors while some even sold herbs used to heal and cure a person from poison.

Even shops could be seen selling different kinds of skill books, but all of them at an expensive price.

Upon arriving at the Ranking-Center,they met with a city guard.

"Where's your ticket?" Asked the city guard.

As they showed him the ticket the city guard stepped aside and let them pass.

Entering inside they saw different nobles and commoners sat on their seats with their kids.

As they took their seats, they calmly waited for the Ranking-Stage to start.

They were in a large room open at the top like a football field but resembled more as to like a movie theatre or magic theatre.

On top of the stage stood a middle-aged man in his 20's with brown eyes black hair and wearing a dark-blue suit.

A few metres away at the VIP seats sat the principals and vice-principals of diferrent academies,each representing one of them.

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen, i'm your host of today in the Grand Ranking-Stage", said the man in a blue suit infront of the stage.

Beside him laid a round transparent crystal ball that reflects the light shining upon it.

"Let the Grand Ranking-Stage begin!"

Upon hearing this the crowd went to silent.

A sudden change of the atmosphere inside the stadium.

"Mhhp" the host smirked at this sight.

He then turned the other side and hold the crystal ball in both of his palms as it began to glow as he infused it with his mana.

As blue-coloured form of energy appeared on the man's palms it began flowing through and entered into the crystal ball.

It was....Kai!

A form of energy produced from the amount of mana a person has.Used to enhance the amount of power a person has or the durability of an object.

But!

Apart from Kai There are also other forms of energy manipulation such as Qi and Nen

Each depending on a person's speciality.

The man was converting his Mana into the form thus infusing it into the crystal ball while converting it in the form of Mana.

Making the crystal ball shine brightly with a slight blue color as it was poured with pure energy.

Every part of the man's body glowed with the flow of Kai taking shape of each part with a slight of blue color.

The children look up the stage with astonishment,some mouth slightly open.

With only one thing in their minds...

' Beautiful!!! '....

'Can i do that..?' Hethernika questioned himself.'will i one day become the strongest???....' his head was running with all sorts of questions.

Seeing their children's expression they smirked, while hoping that one day they could become strong enough to face the harsh reality of this little world they lived in.

As the man finished,he turned to face his audience once again,while canceling his Kai.

"Now ladies and gentlemen,shall we begin?" He said staring straight at the audience with slight anticipation in his eyes.

"Let the Grand Ranking begin".
