On my way back and met someone unexpected.
After eating, Maya grabbed the tray and washed it clean along with her hands and mouth.
After washing my hands, mouth and the tray, I placed the tray on the tray holder and stepped back. Turning towards the exit of the cafeteria and walking back to my office as I went to grab my handbag, helmet and bike keys. Making my way to the exit leaving the hospital after waving everyone my friendly goodbyes.
Heading to the parked bike hopping on it and slid the helmet on, thrusting the key into the bike and I turn it on. Using my legs to reverse and then turn towards the road, waiting as I pulled my phone out to call my cousin Mia. Dialing her number waiting for her to respond.
After a few repeated calls she finally takes the phone.
"Ah...Mia! I hope everything is going well there and Lili is not causing any trouble to you." I say through the phone.
"Hey Maya! There's no problem here! Everything is going great!" She would reply.
"Ah! That's good to hear! Well...my duty is over and I was planning to visit right now- you sure you're not busy?" I question her a bit as I sighed softly.
"Hm? Something wrong? Sure! Come over and we'll talk about it with some drinks as always!" She would chuckle as she said softly.
"I'll tell you when I come there! See ya!" I say softly. Both of them saying their goodbyes as they hung up the phone.
I slowly put my phone back into my pocket and grabbed onto the bike handles and reved it, a loud !vroom! sound escapes the exhaust of the bike as I take off in full speed. The voice of the reving bike catches everyone's attention.
Maya would drive fast and soon stop by a supermarket to buy something before she goes and meet her cousin.
After I stop near a supermarket, parking it as I grabbed my bike and took off my helmet again, but this time hanging it on my right arm and walking my way to the supermarket. Looking around and walking towards the snacks area, looking through every rack as I slowly grab some mixtures, biscuits, chips and so on. Heading to the ice-cream area, I grabed a tub of chocolate and butterscotch flavoured ice-cream. Soon heading to the drinks area, grabbing myself a big bottle of rich wine and for the kids, some apple juice. Taking all of this to the counter and placed it down. As the cashier checks in all the items and packs then up, and then totals the items. "Your total will be.... $85.17." The female cashier says blankly as she stares at me with the most soul snatching stare ever.
"Ah...heh... aight. You take card?" I question, as I pulled out my credit card and stretch my arms to give it to her.
The cashier nods as she snatches the card off my hand and swipes it, giving it back to me as she slides the card machine towards me so I could press in my pin. I took a deep breath, putting my card back into my purse because I'm confident that it wouldn't decline and then I start to press the buttons on the machine, typing in my pin as I press in enter. The cashier nodded in response as it was a successful payment and I nod back with a soft smile as I pick the packet up and was heading out but before doing so, I bump into someone. Yelping softly as I feel my soul leaving my body when I fall backwards.
"Whoa whoa whoa!-". I yelp my words out before falling on the floor hitting butt first, letting out a soft grunt. The package just falling on the floor as my wine bottle shatters on the floor. "Fuck." I cursed underneath my breath and sighed, slowly stretching my hands to grab the packet slowly as I pout a bit.
"I'm sorry...I didn't see where I was going..." I mumble at the large figure in front of me who was wearing a very baggy hooded hoodie, literally covering everything, a small figure of his features were seen but not much and what's even better? The male had a mask on. It kinda felt like I was in a thriller movie and had been caught by a mysterious and murderous man. But I guess some people just love dressing mysteriously.
I'd look up at the man as I frown a bit.
The male looked skinny? Or was it the baggy hoodie he was wearing. He looked like he hadn't eaten in days but meh...it's maybe the hoodie.
The man just stared down at me, his eyes boring into my soul and he knelt on one knee and didn't say a word, picking up some of the items that fell off my packet and he slowly placed it in the packet.
"Ah...thank you, very kind sir..." I said softly with a bright smile, the dimples on my cheek being apparent.
It kinda caught the man off guard, even though I couldn't make out his expressions, the small jolt of his body said everything.
I heard him letting out a soft sigh.
The man slowly stretching an arm out as he gave me a hand, looking up at him, I grabbed his hand and force my body to stand up and rest on my feet. Whoa...his grip so firm and his hands so rough...he might be a hard working man. I thought.
"Thank you--" I repeated my words and smile, sighing as I let go off his hand and, take the packet and head out slowly. Hmm...I did loose a bottle of wine... Thought about it as I hopped on the bike and wore my helmet, and hanging the packet on one of the handle taking a deep breath. Reversing my bike with my legs, turning it and facing the main road, I grabbed my keys and thrust it into the bike, turning it on.
But before I could take off, something stops me, I slowly turn my head back to see that same male figure that helped me, holding a new same rich wine bottle with a small teddy bear in his hand, slowly giving it to me.
I was startled and waved it off saying. "Aww... No! You really didn't have to...". Having a nervous smile and letting out a soft chuckle. But before I knew it, the male just casually placed the bottle and teddy bear into the packet as he just stepped back and left giving me a small wave of it's fine, I insist. My heart sank as I had the most awe expression. I can't believe someone actually did that... I thought and chuckled softly, waving him back and giving him a virtual hug or an air hug from afar as he left.
I couldn't see what expression the male was having or how he looked like but I could tell that he was slightly happy.
I took a deep breath and start my bike, and just drive off but this time in a calm manner.
But little did Maya not know that the man was bad news... And that teddy bear was no ordinary teddy But we'll talk about later!
Now Maya is on her way back to her cousins place.
