Ali Baba could only curse under his breath and lower his head as they had been led away from their initial destination, and to whoever would be biding most for them.
The wagon stopped moving at last, and a creaking from their side informed them the door of the cage had been opened.
Almost immediately, they were roughly hauled to their feet and pulled out.
" I can walk on my own!" Ali Baba declared once his feet found the ground and wrenched his arm from whoever was holding onto it. A jab in between his shoulder blades was his indication that he should be moving forward, and he belligerently did.
Why did they keep them blindfolded was a wonder to him. Did they not think it safe for them to see where they were headed yet? Was there an avenue of escape somewhere on that path?
Even if, by the sound of it, they were surrounded on both sides to even attempt it.
