Zarqa's idea had actually paid off.
By walking through the ivory garden of graves, both she and Jafar tried to wade through the names of famous figures of Baghdad and trace their way back to the founder.
Jafar didn't fail to impress her with his knowledge of all of them, which ranged from simple comments about their person to great and lengthy stories about adventures they had gone through, wars they started, or discoveries and amendments they had brought to Baghdad.
Those stories were never completed for the moment Jafar recognized a new name, he found it more important to give his insight on that person instead of the previous one.
Zarqa was extremely thankful for the distraction the man could provide. As a storyteller, he knew exactly how to make her forget what she was fussing about and focus solely on his story.
As though he was pulling her away from her world to another.
It was a pleasant change.
