Zarqa played around with the feather in her hand as she recalled Sindbad rushing out of the library all while dragging a confused Jafar. " I still don't understand what just happened?"
" It's because asking the Prince might be an easier way to solve your riddle." Jaber scratched his head with his own feather hovering above the piece of parchment, pondering on whether to add a point to the letter or leave it as it was. " If Jafar is right, and this riddle is leading to Al-Mansur's treasure too, then you will be able to get it faster that way."
Zarqa looked up at the man and frowned, offended. " It's not the treasure I'm after. I know it."
How she did know, she had no idea. But Shahrazad made it sound like her journey was a long one. Besides, if the treasure belonged to Baghdad, she had no right to take it.
No, it wasn't Baghdad's treasure she was after. It was something beyond it.
