Chapter 1 - Prologue

A whimsical whoosh sounded throughout the room, produced by the hammer of a mystical gavel, declaring the ends of the recess. The dragging of chairs against the star-engraved floor pattern was all that could be heard for a few moments until everyone had taken a seat. Each creatures' eyes focused ahead to the very front of the room that felt like it defied the idea of finity itself. At the very front of the endless room was a judge's desk, the hooded figure that sat at it stood up. Within the grasp of its four hands was a small piece of paper, raising it up to the stars that peered down upon them from every direction, it spoke:

"All Councilmen of The Stars in favor of passing the Article 1 of the New Order, raise an appendage."

Assorted appendages of all types slowly but steadily raised around the room. Slimy tentacles, hands made of stone, hands on hands, all SORTS of hands rose into the air. Everyone except one.

"Then it is done."

Her mysterious, almost angelic wings draped downwards while she walked. With each step, her sandaled feet sunk into the luscious green grass below. She stopped. Looking around briefly, but seeing nothing more than an endless void outside of the small grassland where she was residing, the 'angel' kneeled down. Opening her tightly closed palms, she gracefully placed the ball of light that was within it on the ground.

"Oh how warm the dirt is, my love." She spoke to the seed. Planting her hands into the ground, she scooped out some of the dirt. There was no need to worry about scooping up an earthworm bystander. No such thing had existed yet.

"I love you, my child."

For once, a lonesome star streaked across the star. Then another, and then one more. Something had come to occupy that endless space. A sky full of stars.
