The following contents in this book doesn't in any way promotes racial ideology in terms of racial prejudice and should not be mistaken as a product of racism against either whites or black which is misleading from the main point of view because this work sincerely strive out to depict the ills of gruesome mysticism of the unknown that is evermore present in the real world.Â
Abominable Superstition and occult practices has always hinder the growth and progress of civilization especially those living in the rural areas of most underdeveloped countries where modernized ideas, forcefully promoted by colonists in the past, have not yet deepen its roots in the indigenous lives of those dwelling in such parts of the world and had failed to wipe off those despicable ideological practices of using innocent lives in exchange for demonic arts of witchcraft under the pretext of displaying falsified cultural beliefs.
It should be noted that this does not mean that the typical African culture, as presented in this book, is highly insignificant or superior in terms of evaluating cultural potency with western ideas including religion doctrine because both ideologies comes from the interaction and close intimacy with the elemental forces of nature which is directed towards an invisible deity whose existence to man has always been felt rather than being seen with the naked eyes.Â
One would fail to understand that certain dubious aspects of occultism, used to perpetrate unseen evil in the individual lives of the plebs in our world today, stemming from the ancient lifestyle of the aborigines in terms of worshipping local deities particular those in Africa and India prior to the advent of the white colonist, are highly poisonous to the progress and substantial developments of any human society involved and should not be part of the growing society though the memorable healthy traditions of ancient indigenes could be retained to foster unity amongst the people while the horrible part of it must be discarded to ensure peaceful coexistence between individuals of the same and dissimilar origins.
For centuries before the first Portuguese sailor sailed past the green sea of darkness (so it was called at that time when Europeans sailors dread to sail too far from the coast areas into the Atlantic ocean), Unconfirmed rumors of cargo ships encountering shipwreck at the surrounding seas around the western region of the land without cold have dreaded a fear and superstitious beliefs in the minds of fishermen in ancient Europe but the desire to have a share in wealth the Muslims was deriving from Africa and to create another route to trade directly with natives from the east, induced a drive for merchants to take the sea route in spite of the fears of the unsteady water currents that may harm them while at sea. And Portugal was the first to break the myth surrounding the omens of the water waves of Western Africa largely thanks to the efforts of Prince Henry, (the navigator) according to history.Â
Other European nations followed suit to seek their own possession at the expenses of the natives. Myths and legends promoted by Arabia talebearers and nomads greatly influenced the adventurous hearts of sailors as well as pirates seeking greater fortunes from anywhere they can find it apart from reaping the benefits of slave trade particularly the rumored Christian Ethiopean King called Prester John, a name which was used to make the European zealous in to deepen their penetration into the inland of Africa so that they can join hands with him and checking the spread of the Islamic religion.Â
Such myths told by talebearers may seem intentionally falsified to fascinate the fantasies and minds of their listeners but all the same, a lot of eerie things that were too hard to explain or be proven by mere human reasoning, could have happened to the so called sojourning nomads in their inland and sea travels, for them to speak of such things they witness themselves which were largely not written for fear of the implications of writing them in scrolls and information about their existence could have been buried or burnt by those who survived whatever they encounter.Â
So it was in the case of Tom Fisher, the seaman who led Master Smollet with his squad using the aid of Captain Moldovan and his seamen in a quest to chase a fantasy that was too devilish to be true and for them, it was almost a foolhardy thought to believe that the likes of Hogwarts and his pirates could have no doubts known about the existence of a sacred object which could be found in Flint's third Treasure in the echoing trenches of Bemurghia Islands Sixty five leagues south, off the coastal harbor of Gambia rivers surrounded by the vast ocean. Though Fisher's words seemingly had some truth when the thief stole the spyglass from his quarters within the Slave Merchant's estate and the map that points to the mythical islands, the crew on hearing his tale and the reason for their wild adventure did much to ridicule him for his abstract tales regardless of witnessing the theft firsthand.Â
The first spyglass was given Tom in 1776 when Flint and his crew returned from a near death battle encounter with Netherland slave traders and government warship two days after fighting with the slave traders before the likes of John silver and Billy bones, Israel Hands joined the crew as fresh new pirates to replace the old ones. Under his instructions, Tom was discharge of his duties as one of his pirates and sent to the Gold coast most likely to safeguard the pointers to the first of Flint's treasures while his captain go explore for more hidden wonders of the world but Flint never returned to claim his pointers and a rumor about his tragic death of himself and most of his crew had spread in the talks of the British soldiers stationed there, who were satisfied for having dealt with the roguish pirate they considered a nuisance and threat to their naval forces reached the ears of Tom.Â
On hearing this, he had to keep a low profile in the estate of a slave merchant as a foreman. For decades, Tom was left to wither away in the heart of Gold Coast till the arrival of Captain Moldovan's ship with Master Smollet on board which was a clear indication that things were about to go bad of the forgotten pirate since the thief had traveled with Moldovan's crew all the way from shores of the English waters to the land without Cold.
