I just managed to get an Icewall in the way as he lunged at me. In just two blows, it was destroyed. There was no time to get to a range to actually use my bow, but the precious moments were at least enough to get my conjured spiritual arrows going, and they were enough to ensure this formidable adversary was unable to take full control of the tempo of the battle at the start.
I was still in a little bit of trouble, though. His swordsmanship was unusual—as might be expected, them being a dual blader—and I was forced on the defensive. I was coping for now, but he hadn't used any special techniques. Too, he was definitely using a movement technique, and I estimated that it wasn't inferior to Sky Serpent Eluding Heaven's Wrath by too much.
