Chapter 282 - Summit Gate

True to that, all of the magical beasts I encountered over the next several hours were of bizarro varieties. Which subtypes of those showed up seemed to be completely random, with one exception. Whenever a chaotic beast materialized nearby, as opposed to when I simply came across them, they all seemed to be of relatively intelligent varieties. I ended up seeing a lot of off-colored humanoids and floating brains. Thankfully, none of them seemed particularly good at standing up to my usual barrages. The monsters more or less amounted to yet another check that those who made it here possessed the qualifications to have done so, so there were definitely limits to how deadly they could be.
