Before the tryouts would begin, though, there was the not small at all matter of the Zodiac Champions Auction. For one reason or another, only Jue Zhu and Jong had so far had been reliably outed by those around us as being among the eponymous champions, so I was able to make my way to the Rising Sun Auction House without too much trouble.
Bing Hei, of course, had even less trouble. Not only was so little known about him that people only called them the most enigmatic of the Champions, he had Shadow Teleportation through his servant. So, I was actually the second to arrive, followed by Jong and Jue Zhu an hour later after they'd finished being swarmed by people.
