November 1994
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Next day, Harry woke up in the morning. He got himself ready and had sat down for his breakfast.
The first thing in his mind was to do after his breakfast, was to contact Amelia.
Though he had gathered the information from Barty about what had happened at Azkaban, he wanted to find out about the ministry's response to the attack. During the previous attack by the death eaters, during Quidditch world cup final, the ministry had termed it as an obscure attack from the fringe elements; which turned to be true. Harry learned from Barty that Voldemort had ordered no such attack.
Also, Barty's absence yesterday had an interesting story to it. Harry had assumed that Barty must have disappeared as he might have gone to participate in the attack on Azkaban. But that was not the case.
Barty was worried that if he had fight along with Hogwarts' professors, his truth might be discovered. He was definitely not capable of replicating Moody's fighting style and that would have aroused suspicion. Also, he did not actually want to kill his fellow death eaters.
The second thing he wanted to know was about Dumbledore's trial. The trial had been disturbed yesterday and Harry wanted to find out when would that resume?

Harry had picked up the first slice of his bread when Dobby appeared with a pop and without saying anything placed 2-3 newspapers and vanished. Harry by instinct picked up the first newspaper- The Daily Prophet and he almost spluttered the food in his mouth.
Amelia Bones 'sacked' from her position of DMLE head; Lord Lucius Malfoy takes up the position.
In a shocking and astonishing move, the minister of magic Cornelius Fudge has sacked the incumbent DMLE head- Amelia Bones from position. Although, there has been no official reason for it, our reliable sources in the ministry says that madam Bones' failure regarding the attack on Azkaban is the reason.
We must remind you that a similar attack had happened during the Quidditch world cup final and no perpetrator has been caught so far.
Lord Lucius Malfoy have been awarded the new position…
Harry was about to read further when Dobby popped in again.
"Harry Potter sir," he said. "Madam Bones is looking for you in the Great Hall."
Hearing this Harry wasted no time and apparated away and appeared in a corridor close to the great hall.

Harry entered the great hall in quick steps. He entered to find Madam Bones talking with Minerva near the teacher's table. Her expression seemed normal and she seemed in no kind of distress.
Harry walked in between the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff table. Every student's gaze was fixed on him; the news of him killing the death eaters had probably spread like a wild fire.
He in quick steps arrived near madam Bones, "Madam Bones."
Amelia nodded, "Lord Potter."
He gestured his hands and walked inside the room next to the teacher's table. The same room he had arrived after his name had come out from the Goblet.
The duo arrived in the room and Amelia summoned two wooden chairs and both of them took their seats.
"It seems you have not got the letter yet, Lord Potter," was the first thing that Amelia said.
"What letter?" Harry frowned. "I just read the news about you."
Amelia nodded, "I see."
She smiled stiffly, "Let me be bearer of the bad news then."
"Firstly, I am no more DMLE head. Lucius Malfoy is new DMLE head.," she said. "And now our influence in ministry is almost finished."
Harry nodded.
"Secondly," continued Amelia. "Albus Dumbledore, Barty Crouch and Ludo Bagman will not face the trial. Well not till the year end."
Harry's eyes widened, "What?"
Amelia nodded in confirmation, "Dumbledore argued that the trial is leading no where and the trio of them need to make preparations for the Triwizard tournament and hence they cannot waste time for the trial."
"The minister agreed with him and he also commented that after two such attack the ministry also cannot waste resources in such cases. So, the trial has been put on hold till the tournament finishes."
Harry's expression took a change and his face was replaced by an angry look.
Amelia continued, "Now this also leads to the third bad news."
Harry heard while Amelia continued, "And as the tournament is to be held in Hogwarts… Albus Dumbledore wanted full access to Hogwarts so that the tournament can be organised efficiently."
"But my opposition made the minister hesitate and for now Dumbledore will live in Hogsmeade, although he will have the authority to enter the castle during the day time and during emergencies."
Harry scoffed, "I own Hogwarts. I decide its rules."
Amelia hesitated at this, "I reasoned this… but I will discuss it in the end. Their is more news."
Harry stared hard and Amelia sighed.
"Lucius Malfoy, took up the mantle after this," said Amelia. "According to him, this is a very sensitive time. These attacks on Azkaban and Hogsmeade have created apprehensions among the wizarding population and the criminals who have run away are too dangerous."
"He said that the students of the two visiting schools must be afraid and that the country should act before their home countries intervene in this matter. He said that if any thing happens that it would be a major diplomatic fallout for Wizarding Britain."
"And what was the result?" asked Harry in steely voice.
Amelia hesitated but finally answered, "Dolores Umbridge would be appointed as a 'special overseer' for the safety of the students from Durmstrang and Beauxbatons."
Harry stood from his chair in anger, "Does she not know that I will kill her? I have declared a blood feud with her."
