August wakes up to her brother pushing her aggressively to get up. She woke up with an exhausted look, "Stop doing that. It's annoying" she told him. "Why don't you just be grateful I decided to wake you?" Mikey says back to her. "Get out now," she said glaring at him. August stares at him as he leaves the room thinking about how he snitched on her last time. She didn't think much of it, he wasn't her biological brother, and he was never there..he just jumped into the frame. August starts to think about the times she was the only child: it was such good memories... why did it have to fade away? She felt forgotten and alone. He doesn't even know the consequences she faced for his tears. "AUGUST HENRY! Get down here this instant!" her mom exclaimed from the top of her lungs. "Great! He told. Again." She thought to herself as she went down the stairs expecting the worst. "So, tell me why your brother has to face your discrimination?" her mother asked. " But I nev-" "Yes you did. DON'T lie in my house," her mother said cutting her off completely. "MOM! He's lying!" she exclaimed. "Get out of my house" her mother screams in her face. August dashes out slamming the door behind. She takes a deep breath and closes her eyes just to appreciate the gentle breeze and Sun. August opens her eyes and begins her walk to school.
