"What system. So a goldfinger for a reborn person is here, as it says in the novel," David exclaimed.
"System, wake up," he shouted.
The system calmly responded, "No need to shout. I'm always online with you until you're done living. You can just talk to me in your mind."
David got the hang of it and asked the system to explain its features.
"Hello host, the Tech system is like a superpower from a different civilization. I'm basically a super AI in this world. I have a vast library of technologies, and I can create any tech products if you have enough points," the system explained.
Looking a bit bored, David urged the system to get to the main point.
The system, with a sad look, continued, "My features include having a massive tech library, and I'm like a Super AI in this world. I can create any tech products if you have enough points."
Curious, David asked about earning points and the available technologies.
"Can you stop asking questions till I finish talking?" the system replied. "Points are like currency for me. You have to unlock products with coins, and after unlocking, you can buy them with dollars in your world."
After giving some info about David's location, the system revealed an introductory offer – a free blueprint of the Intel 8086 processor and a machine to make it.
David was confused about what to do with the processor, and the system explained, "This is a gift from me to you. By selling products from the tech system, you can become an influential person in the world. It's the starting point. The money earned from selling products helps you earn points."
1 point = 1 dollar, and with the unlocked Intel 8086 blueprint, David could buy it for $10 and sell it to people, earning both money and points.
David now understood the system's workings. He called up the system on a 3D translucent screen for easy access.
The system provided a screen with three sections: Info, Products, Manufacturing.
In the Info section, David could see his status, family details, health, business, cash, net worth, and a list of companies.
My present info:
- Name: David Miller
- Family: No one (present)
- Health: 95% (Excellent)
- Business: Nil
- Cash: $500,000
- Net worth: $500,000
The Products section had three categories: Computers, Weapons, and Automobiles, each with advanced tech options. In the computer section, there were various types of tech, including a supercomputer that cost 100 billion points, though more were locked. The list goes on, and there's also a search option.
The Weapons section showcased super tech weapons, and the Automobiles section had everything from cars, ships, rockets, to even space ships.
The Manufacturing section showed present manufacturing items and a log of manufactured items.
David asked the system about the locked items, and it replied that as he grows and reaches certain points, more items will get unlocked.
The system spoke, indicating that it had identified that David understood how it worked.
"Please choose a location to set up the processor-making machine," the system requested.
David mused to himself, realizing, "So, I need to find a spot for this machine."
Before diving into that task, he decided to explore the current state of Earth further. Not only did he need to locate a new place to stay, given that the government had seized his current house, but he also needed to scout for a suitable location for his future company.
With these goals in mind, David felt a surge of excitement about what lay ahead.
