"Gathering Luck," a modest-sized restaurant, had garnered widespread fame. Having weathered over thirty springs and autumns in Bird City, it still stands indomitable to this day, the reason unquestionably being its first-rate cuisine and the elegant ambiance, isolated from the noisy downtown hubbub.
Inside a private room of the "Mountain and Sea Pavilion" restaurant, the table was laden with dishes of every hue, brimming with color, aroma, and flavor, sending hot steams wafting through the air and saturating it with tempting fragrances that could make anyone salivate. Yet, oddly enough, the four guests seated at the table weren't touching their chopsticks or speaking, creating a very oppressive atmosphere.
