Aside from Lu Qingqing herself, no one knew exactly how much wealth she had.
Her grandfather was a junior high school language teacher, her grandmother a high school history teacher; her parents, one teaching high school English and the other junior high math; and her maternal grandparents were also high school teachers who had a close relationship with her grandmother. Lu Qingqing was born into a family full of literary elegance.
From a young age, she was intelligent and lively, personally tutored by her elders, and at the age of seven, she demonstrated an astonishing gift for writing. Her first essay was published in a student newspaper, earning her ten yuan. Later, her articles in student magazines were priced higher, and over the course of a year, she could earn several hundred yuan, enough to cover her tuition and pocket money.
