The two of them picked up folic acid tablets and drove home. Along the way, they stopped at a grocery market to buy ingredients for their afternoon meal.
After parking the car at the market, Lu Nanchen, who was in the driver's seat, didn't rush to leave. While unbuckling his seatbelt, he instructed Yu Ting, "Wait in the car for me while I go buy some groceries."
The market was crowded; it was easier to not bring Yu Ting along.
"Okay, you go ahead."
"Do you want anything in particular?"
Yu Ting thought it over for a bit, "Pickled cabbage fish."
"Anything else?"
"Spicy chicken."
"Alright, wait for me; I'll be right back after shopping." Nanchen stated with a small grin. Seeing Yu Ting nod in agreement, he got out of the car, striding faster than usual with his long legs.
Sitting in the car, Yu Ting watched Nanchen's retreating figure until he disappeared into the crowded market. Then she started passing the time with other activities.
