Even though there was some distance between them, Lu Nanchen clearly heard what Yu Ting had said. He identified her position in the bar and made a beeline towards her. The lights in the bar cast aberrant glares upon his sweater, making him appear partially bright and partially dark.
Bypassing Ning Xuan, who was seated nearby, Lu Nanchen stood in front of Yu Ting for a moment before putting the coat he'd specifically brought for her over her shoulders.
With a serious expression, he bent down and began sliding Yu Ting's sticky, wine-soaked arm into the clean sleeve.
He moderated his strength, careful not to hurt Yu Ting while he assisted her.
Ning Xuan stepped back, stunned as she observed Lu Nanchen's actions.
It wasn't all that bad...
"I told you not to bother me," Yu Ting murmured, a hint of irritation in her voice. Waving her hand containing the glass of wine, a stream of the red liquid splashed out onto Lu Nanchen's sweater.
A deep crimson arc stained his off-white sweater.
