Chapter 1: Beginning

Scene 1: A young man named Leo rummages through a trash bin in a dark alleyway on his 16th birthday. His stomach grumbles with hunger.

Panel 1: A wide shot of the dingy alleyway.

Panel 2: A close-up on Leo's face as he pulls out a moldy piece of bread. A holographic blue screen flickers to life, displaying:

Downloading... 98%

Name: Leonis Lionheart (Leo)

Age: 16

Affinity: All Magic Elements (Unique)

Skills: None (yet)

Panel 3: The download completes. Text appears: "Magic Mimicry System Activated. Welcome, Leo."

Leo: What the...?

Panel 4: The screen displays options: "Scan," "Copy," "Combine."

Scene 2: Leo stares at the screen, overwhelmed and confused.

Panel 1: Close-up on the holographic interface.

Leo: Who are you? What's happening?

Panel 2: The screen displays text: "I am Gemini, the Magic Mimicry System. You possess exceptional potential, allowing you to scan, copy, and combine magic skills beyond the limitations of typical mages."

Panel 3: The screen displays an image of a young woman with gentle eyes, holding a baby Leo. Text below reads: "Your mother entrusted you with this system upon her passing."

Leo (thought bubble): My mom...? I lost my parents when I was eight. They took everything after they...

Panel 4: The screen displays an image of a man and a woman in lab coats, looking determined. Text below reads: "Your parents, Leonidas and Lyra Lionheart, were researchers, ostracized for their unconventional magic studies. Their findings attracted danger."

Gemini (voiceover): Their memories are fragmented, but I sense darkness surrounding their fate.

Panel 5: Close-up on Leo, his expression hardening with a newfound determination.

Leo: I... I will find out what happened. And I'll use this power to protect myself.

Scene 3: Leo asks the system about its functionalities.

Panel 1: Leo looks at the system interface with a mix of excitement and determination.

Leo: Gemini, what are these "Scan," "Copy," and "Combine" options?

Panel 2: Gemini's text appears: "Scan: Analyzes the magic used by others, revealing their skills' structure. Copy: Replicates a scanned skill, limited by your understanding and a cooldown time. Combine: Fuses compatible skills to create new and potentially more powerful magic."

Panel 3: Leo asks, "But how do I know which skills to choose? And how many can I copy at once?"

Panel 4: Gemini explains, "Scan will provide details about the magic you encounter. Mages typically have an affinity for one to three elements, and their skills reflect that affinity. You, however, possess a unique affinity for all magic elements. You can copy a maximum of three skills at a time, with a cooldown period that decreases as your skills level up."

Scene 4: Leo ventures out into the bustling Adventurer's Guild, seeking information.

Panel 1: Leo exits the alleyway, the system's guidance giving him a newfound purpose. He spots a notice board and approaches it.

Panel 2: A close-up of the notice board displays a bold announcement: "Alteria Academy Entrance Exam - Applications Open Now! Exam in 5 Days!"

Panel 3: Leo activates Scan on people walking by:

Elara (17, Fire): Fire Bolt (Lvl 2), Haste (Lvl 1)

Garek (18, Earth): Stone Shield (Lvl 3), Earthen Spike (Lvl 1)

Panel 4: Leo, amazed by the information, focuses on copying Fire Bolt, Stone Shield, and Earthen Spike. The interface displays: "Activating Copy..." for each skill.

Panel 5: The progress bars fill steadily, and with a focused effort, Leo successfully copies all three skills. He feels a slight mental strain, but nothing debilitating.

Panel 6: He considers copying another skill but decides against it, remembering the system's limitations and the 24-hour cooldown for exceeding the limit.

Leo (thought bubble): Three at a time, for now. I need to be strategic and use this wisely.
