"Yes. I know they always loved me, I learned how to read it between the lines. They were always more rationality driven than by emotions, which I also am, but they tried to at least spend time with me on the weekends. Their best friends were also a couple and worked with them, so, their daughter because my best friend as she was the only one who was always there!"
Rafał kissed me again, "Like sisters then."
Nod, "Mmhm. We are opposites though, she's more of a sunshine, glowing golden retriever, sunflower like, emotionally driven person. Also smart like me, but more impulsive."
"So, if you're opposites, you have more of a black cat energy then? Moonlight, red roses, and reserved?" Did he just read me?
I giggled softly, blushing and kissed him once, twice, and thrice, "Yes. Pretty much. I'm not an introvert though, as much as I do seem like one. I think of myself as an ambivert, in-between both. More like a reserve extrovert, as I don't shy away from anyone or anything, neither do I feel bothered or held back over speaking with people I just met."
"One more thing we have in common then, love," this time, when he kissed me, it was a deep, maddening, intense kiss and I ended up over him, sitting on his torso, but leaned on and still cuddling. "Tell me what you dream with, love. Something not related to your professional life. What do you dream of having in your future?"
Now that sounds like a deep question. "Like marriage and kids?"
A nod, "Yes, like that. What do you want in your personal life? What do you dream with? A family or a single life?"
"Family. A big and real family. Maybe it's because I've always wanted siblings to play with as a child, but I want kids. At least four, be it girls or boys. I also want to marry, but it'll have to be someone who values the same things as I do, because I don't want to deal with getting cheated on, or divorce. I know it may sounds silly and stupid, but I want to really get married until death do us part like we'll vowel to."
"I also want to give a good and healthy life to my kids. Emotionally healthy. I'm filthy rich, so money won't be a problem and I won't have to work 24h per 5-6 days a week to provide to them, and lose such a precious time. I don't want them to end up like me, having to deal with trust issues, mommy and daddy issues, fear of disloyalty, as well as being plagued by anxiety and depression."
"I'll have to find the right person before I settle, because I don't want my parents past to repeat itself. They were best friends, who dated as teens, had a baby and settled together because of that. But they weren't right for each other. Mom cheated on my dad, my dad cheated on my mom, I was unlucky enough to catch both on the act. Worse, they both cheated with people I grew up around, so, it was pretty damn traumatizing," sigh.
"My best friend went through something similar, but not as bad as my situation. Her dad was loyal and an example, her mom... wasn't. I was with her when her mom was cheating on her dad," with mine. "So, yeah. One more thing that bonded me and her even deeper. Better one than both," I scoffed self-deprecatingly. "I mean, at least none of them are together anymore," death, did, do them apart. "Maybe that's why mom takes a different care of my little brother, she's with someone who's right for her," dad's sister. "But I'm not jealous, I'm happy that he'll have a better life than I did. And he has me, too."
Rafał hugged my waist, pressing my body on his chest and bringing me closer, "My parents also cheated on each other, love. I also saw it happening more than once, with both, and with many people. However, they stayed together because their marriage was arranged and not a love one. They are good friends, despite everything, so that must be why they never asked for a divorce."
"That and the empire of money biding them together. They love one another as best friends, and they had enough chemistry to have six kids. I was traumatized by the whole cheating shite way before I was old enough to know the true nature of their relationship though. The damage was done already when they told me the truth."
"None of my siblings seemed to bother telling me the truth either. Four of them probably saw that display of disloyalty as normal, as they also cheated on their partners later on. Only my 5th brother seemed to be unaffected by that influence and is extremely loyal to his wife, as he should be, and she's to him to. Maybe the fact that they are obsessed with each other help."
"That's one of the reasons he's the only sibling I'm close to, though that only happened after I was 18. He probably thought it would be better to deal with me when I was an adult in age, even though I was an adult legally way before that because of the whole emancipation. He's also the only one who lives in London, so, we were close. My other siblings are scattered elsewhere. It's weird, but I've always felt like it was easier to befriend my siblings-in-law than my actual siblings."
I don't think it's weird. At least he has one of them now. That's what matters. "Rafał," I called his name.
His blue eyes sparked darkly at my words, "Yes, love?"
"Tell me something you've never told anybody else," I caressed his perfect face and then settled for playing with his hair.
"I..." he grinned, "enjoy K-pop and K-dramas a lot," that was definitely unexpected.
I chuckled amusedly, "I do too. You don't look the type though."
"You doesn't either," he gave me a naughty look. "Enhypen is currently my favorite boy group, while (G)-Idle is my favorite girl group. I also dance," he tilted his head, smiling at my shock, "and I know many of the choreography of many groups. It's a top secret though, absolutely no one knows this!"
Is this man real? "You're kidding me! Enhypen is one of my favorite groups, I'm a fan since their survival," and they are around my age. "I'm a fan of all Hybe groups, and I love their storyline. Also a (G)-Idle fan since I first listened to them in K/DA which they are part of."
"For real?" His blue eyes widened and I absolutely loved how pretty he is when shocked.
A nod, "Absolutely. Want proof? My favorite Enhypen member is Niki and my favorite song is Drunk-Dazed. My favorite (G)-Idle member is Soyeon and my favorite song is Tomboy."
His arms hugged me tighter, "And here I thought you could mock me for it. I'm stunned in the best way imaginable, love. My favorite member from Enhypen is Sung-hoon and my favorite song is Sacrifice from their new album. My favorite member from (G)-Idle is Yuqi and my favorite song is Oh My God." I could tell he visually relaxed when he realized I like it too. "What are your favorite groups?"
"Boy group is Ateez, I have two favorite members because I can't choose, Hoongjoon and Mingi, and my favorite song is Bouncy. Now, girl group is Le Sserafim, my favorite member is Yunjin, and my favorite song is 'Eve, Psyche & the Bluebeard's Wife'. And," I grinned, "I also know some choreographies as I like to dance. It's not that much of a secret though, my best friend, my mom, my little brother, and my best friend's dad knows. My aunt and mom's guy best friend also do. Now you do too."
"You have an amazing taste love, in everything so far," he kissed me tenderly. "My favorite k-drama is Vincenzo."
"Oh my God, I love that one, it's my best friend's favorite and it's on my top 3 with It's Okay Not To Be Okay and Alchemy of Souls," he's perfect. He's absolutely perfect. "I watched everything the actor who plays Vincenzo does, I love the cast overall. They always have amazing dramas."
"They do. I like the two you mentioned too. Like it a lot, I'm genuinely surprised by how alike we are. Add Island and Goblin to the list and you will have my top 5 best dramas."
I gasped, "You also like those two? What the hell? Are you really real or am I imagining? Did I get too drunk and began to hallucinate with the perfect man or something?" I held his face, hands on his cheeks. "You are too good to be real. What's your red flag? You can't be this perfect."
To my surprise, he blushed. Rafał turned fifty shades of red in the instant I said those words and it was an addicting sight, to be able to make this man embarrassed.
"I'm possessive. I can be very commanding and dominating. Huh," he blinked to himself as if to try finding anything else, "I'm overprotective and I get aggressive with anyone who messes with those important to me. I'm an amazing fighter, my dad made sure to put me in many martial arts classes as I was growing up and I aced them all. I also know how to shoot, to fight with daggers, and how to hunt. That makes me kind of dangerous to anyone who messes with me and my loved ones."
My jaw slacked, "I told you to tell me your red flags, not to make you look even more perfect than I already knew you are, idiot," I punched his chest with both my hands softly. "Maybe it's because I read too much dark stuff, but I don't see the downside on any of that. I actually relate," I chuckled, "I have anger issues, so, I had to do martial arts and learn weapon fighting to try easing the anger and all of that. If what you mention make you a red flag, than I'm one too."
"You can fight? Martial arts and with weapons?" His eyebrows went to his hairline.
I nodded proud of myself, "Aren't I amazing? Yes, I can. I'm good at punches too, that's why I brought a English knuckles in my bag when I went out last night, just in case something bad happened. Well, I also have pepper spray, because you never know. A woman needs to always be prepared."
"Where have you been all my life?" I think this is the second time he mumbles this, but I don't want to be hopeful. I am lying after all. "How many languages do you speak, my love?"
Did he just add a possessive word on that? Because my belly got instantly swarmed by a whirlwind of butterflies. "Polish, English, Irish, French, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Russian, Czech, Hindi, Dutch, Danish, Chinese, Romanian, Thai, Turkish, Greek, Afrikaans, and Latin. I'm currently learning Maltese, Arabic, and Hungarian. So, 22 for now, but soon 25."
"I speak 28," of course he does. "All the ones you mentioned, plus Finish, Sweden, and Hebrew. As of now I'm learning more two, Croatian and Persian. 28 for now, but soon 30," he winked competitively. "I think I'll stop in 35, it'll be a good number and way more than 99% of the world."
He's as competitive as me. "What other 5 do you have in mind?"
"Albanian, Bosnian, Welsh, Dothraki, and Na'vi," I swear he said that very seriously, as if he didn't knew if I would get it or not, but I couldn't hold the wave of laughter that shook my body. "What?" He giggled softly, holding me by my waist.
He just added two fictional languages, didn't he? "You plan on learning the barbarians language from Game of Thrones, and the language of the Na'vi people of Pandora in the Avatar movies?"
"So, you also know Game of Thrones and Avatar, huh? And yes, I do. I mean, it's out there for us to learn it, so why not? It's my favorite series and my favorite movies, I don't see why not," oh? More on his amazing taste.
I kissed him, "Rafał, everyone knows Game of Thrones and Avatar. The series, despite the shit ending, was a worldwide success, and Avatar is literally the greatest box office of all time, and also has the third place on the global list too. It's a masterpiece, there's no way I wouldn't know about it, especially with such an epic story. Plus, about Game of Thrones, I'm also a fan of the books. Remember? I'm a bookworm," I winked. "Though I think I'll die before George releases the last damn book."
Rafał kissed me deeply again, "I love books too. There's even a library in here, though I'm still working on filling it, because like I told you before, it hasn't been long since I arrived."
A man with a library. The hottest and smartest and sexiest man I've ever met, who also happens to be kind of nerdy and enjoy K-pop, who even dances, has a library. He really reads enough books to have a freaking library.
I think I'm falling for him.
