Chapter 1 - ch-1 : The beginning of a new story

It didn't took Olive a long time to realise that he is now inside a novel that he last read.

During Olive's 18th birthday he died from a car crash and when he thought it's his end now he woke up somewhere else. He still looked the same but the surrounding was different. It was this moment that he got this intense headache and all the memories of 'Olive' of this novel world started pouring inside his mind. This was also the time that he realised that he is inside a novel named "Fated to be yours". And he became the distant cousin of the main character Daniel, who will transfer to his school during their second year of highschool.

Olive in the novel was jealous of Daniel who got constant attention of the Male lead Reanel. And as fate befall Daniel was in love with Reanel and constantly tried to gain his attention but failed to do so. That's why he harassed Daniel to the point of her almost getting killed. And that was also how he meet his demise the second male lead of the story Ridhaan. Ridhaan was in love with Daniel but never confessed. He was a constant obstacle to Olive and his plans.

Ridhaan and Reanel were half brothers sharing the same mother, Sarah. Reanel was a year younger than Ridhaan and lived with his mother and father whom Sarah married after divorcing Ridhaan's father, Ryan. I was only half way through the novel when I got some major spoilers. For one, Ridhaan knew about Sarah's existence and Reanel that was also why he helped them a lot, but he never disclosed this to either Reanel or Daniel. Secondly for whatever reason the novel ends with Ridhaan committing suicide and Reanel and Daniel exchanging rings. I stopped reading the novel after that. Ridhaan was my favorite character and if he dies then what's the point of knowing what will happen next.

"Sigh....."

Olive sighed and flopped on his bed, wondering what's next. Well atleast he won't have to worry about his surrounding as of now. Call it a blessing or a boon but he still remains the same. Olive still looked same with his curly hair, small lips, olive coloured skin and crooked teeth. His feature remained same and so was his height. He was 140 cm tall and pretty thin for the kids of his age. And not to mention his parents are still dead even in this universe. He still lived in the same orphanage that his relatives put him into 6 years ago because no one wanted to take his responsibility.

Well at least he will get a different environment in his school. Tomorrow is going to be his first day at high school, and he is honestly excited about it because he will get to meet the main characters of the story. As he giggled while looking at the ceiling he murmured "who knows may be I will get to befriend Ridhaan."

As Olive thought about how can he befriend his favorite character and may be stop him from dying he slowly sank into deep sleep.

The orphanage that Olive stayed in is pretty well funded, that's also the reason why he got his own room and adequate clothes. Everything was good, he got into a decent highschool as his scores were above average and he had some asset left behind by his parents that he can inherit after graduating high school. They weren't much but enough to give him some relief from his college fees. The only thing that always bugged him even in his previous life was the orphanage director, who always created some reason so that Olive would skip his meal. Made sense since he can't be violent towards the kids so he found the sneakiest way to harass kids "food". He didn't like Olive much as he once tried to make complaint against the director through a letter. Olive got caught and that's how he became the only target of the director's constant harassment.

This morning too the director announced to me that there wasn't any food left so I had to leave for school hungry. I didn't retort and meekly moved out as I nodded. Well it's not like arguing would get me anywhere and honestly I'm more than tired of his shenanigans too. I tried everything in my previous life but nothing changed so whatever. Just get by for 2 more years and I'll be out of this place and move to wherever my college will be.

As I entered the school, my eyes widened as the school was pretty big, well big is an understatement because it's massive. I was excited and hopped inside the school. According to the novel Olive and Ridhaan were in the same class that's also why I was even more excited. As I entered the classroom with mixed emotions, I saw a boy seating quietly at the back seat as he looked outside with melancholy. Maybe it's the sound I made while opening the door that he looked back at me with the same sad look that he only wore for a split second.

He looked the same as the novel described. Bright blue blue eyes and a mole under his right eye that looked like a tear drop, pointed nose and fair skin, with a height of around 194 cm he sat straight and stared at me for a good while without smiling.

'Damn... he looks like a giant in front of me'. I gave him a big smile and introduced myself.

"Hi, I'm Olive. Looks we're the first one to arrive."

Ridhaan nodded and introduced himself too with a gentle smile. "I'm Ridhaan"

'Oh my god he looks like an angel, when he smiles. I wonder if my heart is beating too loud'.

I looked around and said " Do you mind if I seat with you." Honestly I was pretty nervous what if he rejects me but to my relief he said yes.

'Hopefully, this will be the beginning of a new story for my favorite character, different from the original. Where both me and my favorite character will get our happy ending.'
