The cheers of triumph rang out across the swamplands, a ragged chorus of exultation as the warriors basked in the glory of their hard-won victory.
Julia, however, found her gaze drawn towards the young Blade who had taken a vicious blow during the fray.
He sat hunched over, one hand clutching at the rapidly darkening stain that seeped through the tattered remnants of his tunic. One the Blades was currently healing him, but Julia's brow creased with concern as she made her way over, kneeling beside him with no small amount of gentleness.
A few of the Blades tensed up. Even though they were all on the same side, it was clear that everyone was still being wary of whoever wasn't in their guild. Julia didn't even think about that for a second, though. This was purely instinct.
"How are you holding up?" she asked.
