Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Contingency Plan

As the battle dragged on, more and more Authors arrived at the boundary to prevent The Chronicler from destroying it.

"Ganging up on me? Are you sure you can keep up with me when I unleash my full strength?" The Chronicler declared.

"HAHAHA, you sure do say amusing things sometime! What is it again? Full Power? Tell me is it not your full power?" Stan argued with The Chronicler.

The Chronicler simply smiled and let the attacks hit him, soon; his form started to fade.

"A final bluff I say? You are no match against the real world, you are just a creation, we" after a short pause Stan continued "are the creators, a creation cannot overpowered their creator in any way" Stan stated as he retreated.

However

"I-I can't move?" Stan was flabbergasted, he looked at the other Authors, they also couldn't move.

A strong pressure descended before them, it is like carrying a whole world on their back.

Crack!~ Crack!~ Crack!~

Boom!~

Stan widened his eyes, all the layers that protected The Great Fourth Wall were destroyed simultaneously.

"The Great Fourth Wall is destroyed!" One of the Authors shouted, suddenly the pressure that was pressing against them disappeared, followed by it, a large space crack appeared inside the boundary.

"The-The-THE END IS HERE!" Stan exclaimed

The face of all the Authors present is darkened, the situation took a whole turn!

With the appearance of The End, they simply cannot resist it, after all, The End does not only exist in Fiction but in the Real World as well.

Just like the name suggests, The End is The End, End of All Fate, End of All Things, End of All Realities, End of All Fiction, Everything that exists even those who are non existent have their own End.

The End only has one belief, and that is, there is no thing such as forever, eternal, and unending. To him, the concept of immortality is no other than a being that can live ridiculously long, to others, they are undying and immortal, but to The End, it can simply see through their end. Septillion years? Decillion years? Even longer than that, The End is there waiting for them to meet their end.

Such a thing, The Authors cannot fight against it or even delay it. They all fled back to the real world and began their final futile struggle.

But unbeknownst to them, The End's goal was not to End the Real World but to end The Chronicler.

This being, an existence he deemed to have similar origin as him, something that he cannot End no matter how hard he tried.

But now, he was surprised by The Chronicler's action, to think that he dares to destroy The Great Fourth Wall and merge the Book and Real World.

Such a thing never happened in the past, he was amused, yet afraid, he knew that those lousy Authors failed to destroy him and his act of disappearance is merely a trick to enjoy the show that will occur.

"Show yourself, I know you aren't the type to run away from something" The End stated.

"Hoho, is this our second reunion I presume?" The Chronicler chuckled.

"You...who really are you? We have the same origin right?" The End asked.

"Slightly similar, but my origin is slightly higher than yours I suppose" The Chronicler answered.

"I bet it is, I cannot even see your end, or rather I can see your end but it is also accompanied by a new beginning" The End replied.

"A being who's above all, unrestrained, and all knowing, could it be, The Narrator?" The End inquired.

"Higher" The Chronicler replied, then he drew a symbol using light "Ω".

The End trembled violently and his stable form  began to glitch revealing countless eyes, hands, and mouths that encompassed throughout fiction and the real world.

The Chronicler erased the symbol and The End's form returned to normal instantly as if nothing happened.

"I see, I'll be going then" But before The End manages to move he felt something, along with The Chronicler who also felt the same thing.

"Time has stopped?" The Chronicler stated

"How amusing, to think someone dares to pro-" The End instantly stopped and he seemed frozen in place.

The Narrator: As expected, stopping time isn't enough, good thing I am way beyond that puny concept.

The Chronicler: What brings you here Narrator?

The Narrator: The story, it is getting boring, isn't it time to get back on the right track and do your job as intended?

The Chronicler: I know, I know, I am doing it now

The Narrator: Much obliged

The Chronicler: You jerk

"-voke us?" The End finished his sentence, unaware that a conversation took place between The Chronicler and The Narrator.

"See you again" Sensing that the weird force is gone he opened a spatial rift and disappeared.

The Chronicler then headed back to his personal dimension and began to manipulate behind the scenes.

Stan walked towards the hallway nervously, he hastned his steps and soon entered a rooThe room has 200 seats in it, facing the pulpit at the middle, all of the seats were occupied, and other people stand at the back.

Stan walked towards the pulpit, his gaze met the eyes of all the people present.

"The Great Fourth Wall is gone, and a great calamity is about to descend towards our reality." Stan said in a low voice.

"We failed to protect it and we will now face the consequences of our failure"

After the speech, the people that were present inside the room turned into dust and vanished into nothingness.
