Shadows of Confession
Chapter One
The shrill ring of my alarm clock shattered my dreams and pulled me back to the real world. My eyes were torn open, but I didn't move, I only stared at my ceiling aimlessly… pointlessly.
It had become a routine at that point. The dream of me falling into a dark plunging bottomless hole and then waking up to my alarm. Normally, I used to get pissed at my alarm. Now, I think it's my savior. The trumpet of God waking me up and saving me from my demise.
I sighed. Groggily, I untangled myself from the comfort of my sheets. The bright side of the past few days was that the weather in the mornings was really nice. The sun poured its yellow rays through the curtain drapes and bathed my room in a golden glow. I took a deep breath, enjoying the light as my mind was still clouded by the remnants of the nightmare that has plagued my sleep for nights.
