Daligarth tilted his head slightly as Spheris glared at him, tendrils of shadow still holding Quade in place.
An impressed smile that almost seemed mocking crept across the Lord's face. "Well you certainly know how to make an entrance," he remarked dryly.
Spheris didn't reply, his anger still fresh, but his patience thin.
Daligarth eyed him. "You have been watching us. I suppose I would ask why, but my office is basked in darkness — darkness that you have dominion over. This is honestly my own mistake, I do not blame you at all. But I suppose this is finally a chance for us to meet... face to face."
Spheris's jaw clenched, not caring about any of the nonsense the Lord of the Academy had just said.
"What news about my mother?" he repeated, his voice was tight with controlled fury, his fists trembling slightly as the Umbrage threatened to spiral out of control.
