"Where are you off to?!" Jared called Spheris as he made a turn to the Dormitory. They had all arrived at the Academy premises and the dark night sky left the building looking like a gothic temple.
Spheris paused and slowly turned around, arms folded. "It's been a long day. I want to head to my dorm and get some early rest."
That wasn't true. Spheris wanted to hurry and begin studying the Demonarium he had stolen before the annoying voice of the ceilings came to take him forcefully to sleep.
"Aye, I get it, Spheris. In fact, I'm knackered myself. But protocol demands that we head to the Briefing Room to give a proper report on our mission."
Spheris appeared disappointed. His eyes moved to Lirael, who smiled at him and said; "Come on."
He let out a sigh and joined the rest of the Brigades as they walked into the main Academy building.
