Spheris and Cerene stood at the foot of a tall enough mountain, a divided river by their sides as they gazed up at the chasm high above the mountain's face.
"What do you think?" Cerene asked.
"I think they most certainly took shelter there away from the storm," Spheris replied. "Looks dangerous though, I'm willing to bet that they ran into Scorvulcans."
The difference between Spheris now and the Spheris of weeks ago was clear. He had spent enough time to adapt to his surroundings, studied it and had become fairly adapted to its magical order. Not much surprised him now, and it became easier to apply his survival skills than it was when he first arrived.
"I can scale the mountain in little time to check, but that'll be a waste of energy." he stated. "Talon, go."
He jerked his shoulder slightly and the shadow raven sprung into the air, soaring to the mountain height.
