To be honest, I didn't know Erman Crawn, at least not the man behind the name. My only reference came from TV and headlines, which talked about the successful businessman. So it was a shock to see him show such genuinely human emotions.
I don't know why, but practically any celebrity I saw on TV gave me a sense of distance, as if they weren't really human. Unconsciously, I probably saw Erman in that way as well. It wasn't the fact that Erman showed so many feelings towards his granddaughter that surprised me; what surprised me was that I was surprised by it.
Even James, who usually maintained a cold and distant expression, now had a troubled look. Despite Erman claiming he was already expecting my previous response, it was quite obvious, at least to me, that he had high expectations about it.
