As Lila and Axel kissed, everything outside their small world seemed to fade away. Axel's hands explored her body, gliding over her waist and pulling her closer, igniting a warmth that spread through her. The taste of his lips was intoxicating—sweet and insistent, leaving her breathless.

"Lila," he murmured, breaking the kiss just enough to whisper her name, his breath warm against her skin. "I've wanted this for so long." His gaze bore into hers, filled with a longing that made her heart race.

Their lips met again, this time with deeper urgency. Axel's kisses grew more fervent, trailing from her mouth to her neck, where he placed soft, lingering kisses. Lila felt herself melt into him, every kiss sending waves of heat coursing through her. She wrapped her arms around his wide back, pulling him closer, craving more of his touch.

But then, a sharp knock echoed through the room. "Lila? Are you in there?" Kairos' voice broke through the haze of their connection, pulling Lila back to reality.

Axel pulled back slightly, a playful smile dancing on his lips. "Your husband's on the other side of the door," he teased, his voice low and sultry. The mischief in his eyes made her heart flutter, mixing excitement with a hint of panic.

"We should stop," she whispered, glancing nervously at the door. The thrill of their moment clashed with the reality of her situation, but the heat of his presence was overwhelming.

"Let him knock," Axel replied, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear, his touch lingering. "I'd rather be here with you." His eyes held a challenge, filled with an intensity that made her pulse quicken.

"Just a little longer," he coaxed, leaning in to kiss her again, capturing her lips with a fervor that made her breath hitch. Lila felt herself surrendering once more, lost in the warmth of his embrace.

"Ngh," she breathed against his mouth, a mix of desire and hesitation. "We shouldn't…"

He chuckled softly, his lips brushing against her skin. "We've waited too long to ignore this," he murmured, pressing his lips to hers again, deepening the connection that had been simmering between them.

Their kisses were a dance of urgency and longing, each one pulling her deeper into his orbit. The sound of Kairos knocking faded into the background as they lost themselves in each other, the world outside forgotten, if only for a moment.

"Lila," he murmured against her lips, his voice dripping with teasing sincerity, "do you think your husband would approve of this?" His tone was playful, yet there was an undeniable heat in his gaze.

Lila's heart raced, torn between exhilaration and guilt. She didn't respond, instead allowing him to pull her into another kiss, his lips capturing hers with an intensity that sent shivers down her spine. Axel continued, unabated. "You know, it's quite unfaithful of you to be here like this," he whispered, brushing his lips against her neck as he spoke.

Lila remained silent, lost in the sensation of his kisses, her breath hitching as he nibbled gently on her collarbone. "What would Emperor Kairos say if he knew?" Axel teased, his voice low and sultry. "Would he be heartbroken, or would he just accept that his wife is enjoying a little… extracurricular activity?"

The teasing lilt in his voice made her cheeks flush, but she couldn't find the words. Instead, she leaned into him, surrendering to the thrill of the moment. Axel smiled at her silence, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

He kissed her again, deeper this time, as if trying to seal the unspoken truth between them. Lila felt her heart race, caught in a whirlwind of emotions—desire, guilt, and an undeniable thrill that came from being so close to him.

As the sound of Kairos's knocking echoed through the room, Lila felt a twinge of panic. "Lila! Is the Empress in her office?" Kairos called out, his voice carrying through the door. "If she is, let me know. I need to speak with her."

On the other side, Lila and Axel exchanged a glance filled with both urgency and mischief. Axel leaned in closer, whispering, "What do you think he'd say if he knew what we were up to?" His teasing tone sent a thrill through her, despite the gravity of their situation.

"Let's stop—" Lila said, though her voice lacked conviction. The way he held her, the warmth of his body against hers, made it hard to think straight.

"Just a little longer," he coaxed, brushing his lips against hers once more. "Kairos will be gone in a moment. We have time." His confidence was intoxicating, and she found herself lost in his gaze, her heart racing with the thrill of the forbidden.

They could still hear Kairos outside, his footsteps fading as he spoke to Aaron. "If you see the Empress, let me know," he said, before the sound of his footsteps faded entirely.

Lila's mind raced as Axel's lips found hers again, more insistent this time. "See? He's gone. Just us now," Axel murmured, pulling her closer. The way he teased her made her heart flutter, igniting a fire she couldn't ignore.

"Axel," she breathed, her resolve faltering as he kissed her deeply, his hands roaming her back.

His lips trailed down to her neck, kissing softly, and she felt herself melting under his touch over and over again.

Lila's thoughts swirled in a mix of exhilaration and guilt, but in that moment, all she could focus on was the intoxicating connection between them. As Axel continued to explore her, the outside world faded away, leaving only the thrill of their secret affair, a hidden passion that felt both exhilarating and dangerous.

The thought sent a thrill through her, and for a brief moment, she allowed herself to get lost in the fantasy of it all. As he kissed her again and again, Lila couldn't help but wonder what it would mean to give in fully to this connection, even as Kairos' voice echoed from outside, reminding her of the reality waiting just beyond the door.
