There was still more to the case to investigate, including the fleeing members of the Jianyuan gang and at least a double-digit number of uncaught suspects from the two drug trafficking gangs, including upstream and downstream leads and connections—if it weren't for the involvement of the Jianyuan Group, especially Jianyuan's chemical plant, the scope of the investigation could have been expanded even further.
Beyond that, there might have been some related persons inside and outside the case; some required just questioning, others needed to be arrested, but no matter what, the main body of the case was essentially completed. The continuation might last for another year or two, but maintaining the current scale and state of the special case squad was no longer necessary.
