Jiang Yuan then took out a new set of fingerprint powder and a brush. There are many ways to visualize fingerprints, including but not limited to various fingerprint powders, cyanoacrylate (superglue), and ninhydrin, among others. In theory, even gold could be used to cast the fingerprints, but there was no need for Jiang Yuan to go to such lengths for fingerprints that were not confirmed to be important.
Most of the fingerprints in the room were actually duplicates. The fingerprint technicians before had collected them, and most of those stored in the fingerprint database could be matched.
Those that couldn't be matched were probably not in the database, and there wasn't much point for Jiang Yuan to spend time on them.
Therefore, Jiang Yuan didn't search in obvious places, like the surface of the desks or safes. Fingerprints there had definitely been wiped clean time and again.
