Yellow police tape.
White little circles.
Red pools of blood.
Blue head covers.
And an endless number of people.
When Jiang Yuan arrived at the scene, the only one idle was the smug Dazhuang.
The shiny Rottweiler, all muscle and brawn, looked incredibly fit. It seemed to think it had accomplished its mission and lay there at ease. Seeing Jiang Yuan, the dog sat up proudly, as if to say, "Buddy, I've earned my dog food."
Jiang Yuan took advantage of the fact he hadn't donned gloves yet to pat the dog's head a few times. He nearly patted Li Li by accident, quickly withdrew his hand, and greeted her, "Didn't get carsick on the way, did you? Dazhuang seems to be in good spirits?"
"As long as it's not a winding mountain road, Dazhuang can handle car rides. Plus, it's been in the car more often lately and is somewhat used to it," Li Li tugged at Dazhuang's leash to make it look less obsequious and avoid embarrassing her.
