The social media influencer girl shook off her hands and started running wildly, gasping for breath, barely having the time to look back.
Behind her, the four or five-meter-wide road was deserted, lit only by a row of streetlights that tirelessly emitted their light. Underneath the streetlights, not even a child was out reading.
The girl couldn't help but sigh in relief; however, she soon became suspicious again and glanced down the small paths on either side of the road.
The teaching building of the Veterinary Medicine school was originally quite secluded because of the animals being kept there, which made noises and smells. This path, which she had walked countless times before, now seemed both unfamiliar and dangerous.
But she was simply too tired, and she feared she would die of exhaustion if she had to run any further now.
