In the eastern plains, crisscrossed by a dense network of waterways, scattered sentry posts and watchtowers sat at riverbank checkpoints.
Deep within this network of water lay a massive city, its walls thirty zhang high, cast entirely from steel, with countless waterways converging into a great river that flowed into the city.
From above the water to below, the defenses were strict, with both visible and hidden sentries everywhere.
This was East Sea City, which, built beside water, had warriors who were mostly adept at water flow divine skills. The river was their battlefield, and any demonic beast foolish enough to try traversing the water to invade the city paid a heavy price.
