After realizing that the Primordial Celestial Heavenly Lord might have been paying close attention to Zhang Bairu, Yibai gave up the idea of confronting Zhang Bairu directly.
Upon abandoning the thought of dealing with Zhang Bairu and without intending to return to the Dragon Palace, he was aware that going back at this point would serve no purpose.
After pondering for a while, he decided to go to the Netherworld.
Yibai had learned from his master that there was a fierce battle raging in the Netherworld—the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva was pitted against the Great Emperor of Fengdu. Having nothing better to do, Yibai thought it might be worthwhile to take a trip to the Netherworld.
After much contemplation, Yibai set out for the Netherworld.
With his speed, entering the Netherworld was an easy task.
But this time, there was a twist.
As Yibai walked down the Path of the Netherworld, he arrived at the Netherworld City Gate, expecting, as usual, to be allowed through.
