Yibai walked on foot through the mountains, followed by a black cat.
He moved through the mountain forest.
There were no paths in the mountain forest.
Yet, whether it was trees or shrubbery, as he was about to approach, they would automatically make way as if fearing to touch him, or rather, as if touching him would be a great sin.
The black cat followed at his feet, advancing along his path, also unimpeded by grass or trees.
"Heavenly Lord, what kind of magic is this?"
The black cat spoke human words, looking enviously at the grass and trees that made way for him, her eyes sparkling like gems, wishing she could be as imposing.
She was the Dark Cloud Immortal.
"This? This is no magic."
Yibai looked down at the black cat with a mixture of laughter and tears.
