Innate beings!
But there were distinctions among innate beings as well.
Innate beings could generally be divided into those born innately from the earth and those born later.
Some beings existed before heaven and earth were formed, such as Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva and his master, Dongyue Emperor, could be considered as such.
But there were also beings born of the earth innately, or alongside the formation of heaven and earth, who did not possess sentience at the time of heaven and earth's formation, hence they were not born yet.
Afterwards, as heaven and earth evolved, they gradually gained sentience, became refined, and thus can also be considered as Innate Divine Beings, innate beings.
The Innate Demon belonged to this category.
