Yibai watched with a sigh.
The little girl from the past, who once clamored about the world beyond the mountains, had grown up.
He walked over to her.
The young woman, 'A'Nian,' looked at him and pointed towards the main hall, saying solemnly, "Please go to the main hall for incense and prayers, do not disturb me."
Yibai, ignoring her words, looked A'Nian up and down, recognizing that she had mastered the Art of Incarnation, which allows one to change their form, and that she could not recognize him. He smiled and spoke, "How come, A'Nian, when you followed me out of the mountains as a child, calling me 'A'Ge,' you now, having grown up, don't recognize me anymore?"
Yibai's voice was as hoarse as it had been.
Upon hearing this, A'Nian trembled, her eyes moistened, and she hurriedly stepped forward, grabbing Yibai's hand, overwhelmed with emotion, and asked, "Are you really A'Ge? Are you really A'Ge?!"
Yibai nodded, smiling in acknowledgment.
