The Taoist showed his white teeth and asked in return.
"I am none other than the County Magistrate of Fu County!"
The County Magistrate declared loudly.
"Oh, so it's the County Magistrate. I didn't know, I thought you were the Emperor himself."
The Taoist sneered, as if to mock the County Magistrate.
"How dare you scorn an official appointed by the court? Bring him here, give him thirty heavy beatings!"
The County Magistrate, unable to miss the disrespect, roared in anger.
At his command,
numerous servants moved to grab the Taoist.
"Why the rush, why the rush?"
The Taoist appeared to be frightened as he scrambled away.
The servants came up empty-handed, relentless in their pursuit to catch the Taoist.
The Taoist rolled over and over, his brand-new robe quickly covered in dust.
"Don't catch me, don't catch me!"
