The old man, as he rummaged through the herbs, said, "I don't have much left, take these first. However, I don't have kelp, loquat leaves, or fritillaria, you'll need to go outside the city to find them."
"Thank you, elder..."
Song Yin then asked, "But if you don't take money, how do you all live?"
"Customer, that's an underestimation of us folks in Baishou City."
With a hint of pride, the old man said, "The people of our Baishou City don't care about gain or loss, we all do good for the sake of being kind. We increase virtue by doing good deeds for nothing, why take money for it?"
With a thoughtful nod, Song Yin thanked him and then prepared to leave.
"Hey, your herbs!" the old man called out from behind.
"Thank you for your kindness, elder. I'll come back to collect them later."
After finishing his words, Song Yin didn't pay attention to the old man and walked straight out of the herb shop.
