The weather in summer really was stifling, with it already hard to breathe at only half-past seven in the morning. As I admired the familiar greenery around me, I greeted the acquaintances I passed by. They threw appreciative glances my way, probably because I was able to go to the city for studies. For the villagers, knowing a few characters was already quite impressive, let alone leaving this mountain village to pursue knowledge they would never have the chance to learn in their lifetimes.
After about an hour and a half of a long trek, I finally caught sight of the desolate Taoist Temple that sat there alone. My pace quickened dramatically, and I sprinted towards the Taoist Temple.
