Time flew by, and before I knew it, summer vacation had arrived. Having been away for over half a year, I boarded the bus arranged by the school with classmates from my hometown to embark on the journey back home.
After several hours of travel, I finally returned to my long-missed hometown. Of course, because I get carsick, I had been sleeping the whole way and was only woken by my classmates when we arrived. Since communication in the village wasn't well-developed, no parents had heard the news to come and greet us. But for us, the children of a poor village, this was no matter. After all, the poor mature early and understand more than other children.
The appearance of my hometown hadn't changed much. However, on the way home, I heard some good news—my temporary school from before had turned into a real school, complete with brand new classrooms and a large playground. Though I was eager to get home and didn't stop by for a visit.
