"Child, what nonsense are you talking about? Your grandfather has been dead for two years, how could he possibly eat your noodles?" The old lady didn't blame the child for anything, like lying. Perhaps the little girl had done this before, and she must be missing her grandfather too much.
"No, my grandpa really got up and ate the noodles I brought over." The little girl had a serious look on her face, and she didn't seem to be lying at all.
"If you keep this up, grandma will get angry. Don't talk nonsense, we have guests at home." The old lady furrowed her brows, scolded the little girl, and then looked at me helplessly.
"I'm not lying, I'm telling the truth." After being scolded by her grandma, the little girl pouted, then hung her head low and muttered quietly while tugging at the corner of her clothes.
"You're still talking! Do you want a spanking?" The old lady glared, and it looked like if the girl continued to speak, she might really hit her.
