"Come on, eat this, I really don't like this stuff." I picked up the egg in my bowl and extended it towards the little girl.
"Young man, you go ahead and eat, we eat eggs every day," the old lady said hastily when she saw me sending the egg over to the little girl.
"I... I won't eat it," the little girl said after swallowing. It was quite amusing; she was obviously lying, as her saliva was almost dripping out.
"Grandma, you don't know, we who practice cultivation cannot eat these things, or else our spells will lose their power," I said, clearly lying to avoid making the little girl eat the egg directly.
"Oh? You can't eat these things, then I'll go make you another bowl," the old lady said, evidently surprised and somewhat embarrassed about offering me more food.
"No need, I can still eat noodles, just not eggs." I moved the egg, held with my chopsticks, closer to the little girl's mouth again.
