Within a few minutes, I had slurped down an entire bowl of noodles, but I didn't feel full, maybe because I had let out a sigh of relief, perhaps because the noodles just tasted too good, or possibly because I was really that hungry. Seeing the eager look in my eyes, Master had no choice but to order another bowl for me.
Maybe it was because there were more customers, or for some other reason, but the second bowl did not come as quickly as the first. I waited for more than ten minutes before the bowl was finally served.
When the noodles were brought to me, I wanted nothing else but to dig in. I grabbed my chopsticks and shovelled them into my mouth, only to accidentally burn my tongue.
"Heh heh, eat slowly; if it's not enough, I'll buy you more. Master will definitely ensure you're well-fed when I bring you out to eat," Master said, clearly noticing that I had burnt myself. He waved his hand at me, signalling me to calm down.
