When the Great Immortal saw the Home Guardian appear, he was shocked, his eyes wide with disbelief. Perhaps he hadn't expected me to actually summon a ghost, or maybe the appearance of the Home Guardian startled him. In a reflex, he shifted backward, which unexpectedly caused his chair to topple over.

Maybe due to being off-balance, the Great Immortal fell flat on his back with the chair, but he quickly got up and crouched behind the chair, eyeing the "ghost" I had called forth.
