Perhaps it was the environment playing tricks on Xiao Hua; she never considered that it was a prank. She was truly frightened, her scream coinciding with the dropping of her notebook and pen. She cried, for the first time in her life she was scared to tears.

Blinded by fear, she ran without watching her path. But after a long while, she still hadn't escaped. Gasping for breath, she slipped and her head struck a tombstone, the very one that had frightened her earlier, with a grinning face delightedly carved into it.
Xiao Hua lay flat on the ground, staring at the sparse stars in the sky, her eyes gradually losing their luster...
The next day, Xiao Hua's seat was empty. No one knew where she went. The lively and cheerful girl had actually skipped class.
