Suddenly, I remembered that the Evil Repelling Talisman in my pocket could serve as a temporary lighting tool. Thus, I took out a small stack of Evil Repelling Talismans from my pocket and lit one with a Fire Ignition Mantra.
A not-so-bright flame ignited in my hand, allowing me to clearly see the surroundings within a small area. As I expected, the shadow had not disappeared. It stood by the railing not far away, seemingly gazing down at the floor below.
Wow, very bold to ignore my presence. Can't my reversal charms even handle a mere shadow? An ambush? That's not my style. Since it's not looking at me right now, if I just send an Evil Repelling Talisman flying its way, I could probably easily get rid of it.
Ouch, I shook my hand vigorously. Preoccupied with whether to ambush or not, I had forgotten about the burning talisman, which led to my scalded hand getting burned by the fire again.
